Important Information to allow you to see on-line photos at their best

AOL software installs into a computer with default settings
conducive to speed and not viewing quality. This means graphic images are
being viewed with AOL browser compression applied that is in
addition to the file compression applied by the web designer or
graphic artist. In other words, the AOL user is not seeing the
images as good as they were intended. The end result is a substandard range
of photos and graphic images. When an AOL
user views a high quality Web Album they are going to see "soft"
substandard images in their AOL browser unless they have previously
changed their browser properties to accommodate quality over speed.

To change the AOL 6.0 Browser Properties follow these steps:
(1) Open AOL
(2) Go to "Settings" in the top menu bar.
(3) Click on "Preferences".
(4) Click on "Internet Properties (WWW)".
(5) Click on the "Web Graphics" tab.
(6) Set to "Never compress graphics".
(7) Click "OK".
(8) Then visit the intended website.

If the AOL user views the website first and then decides to change
the preferences, he/she may not notice any difference in the
quality of the graphics. The reason for this is because the images
will probably be cached as recent Internet files on the computer
and therefore not reloading from the website. If this is the case,
they will need to clear their "Temporary Internet Files" (cache).

To clear AOL 6.0 Temporary Internet Files follow these steps:
(1) Go to "Settings" in the top menu bar.
(2) Click on "Preferences".
(3) Click on "Internet Properties (WWW)".
(4) Click on the "Delete Files" button.
(5) Click "OK".
(6) Then re-visit the intended website.

NOTE: The "Preferences" will be grayed out and not available to
AOL sub-accounts. Only the primary account holder of AOL will
have access to the preferences.
